This policy explains what Potio stores on your device, why we store it, and the choices you have.

1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include local storage and session storage, which browsers use to persist small amounts of data across pages. In this policy, “cookies” covers all of these.
2. How Potio uses cookies
We use as few cookies as possible, and only for things that help the product work well. We do not use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking, and we do not sell data to third parties.
3. Categories we use
Strictly necessary
These are required for Potio to function. They keep you signed in, remember your active club, secure your session against forgery, and store minor UI preferences such as your last opened tab. Without them, core features would break. You cannot opt out of strictly necessary storage while using the Service.
Preferences
These remember choices you make so we can give you a better experience, such as your currency picker state, sort orders, and dismissed onboarding hints.
Analytics
We use privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate usage: which pages are visited, how features perform, and where errors occur. These are used to improve the product. We do not build advertising profiles and we do not share individual analytics data with third parties.
4. Third parties
Some cookies may be set by trusted providers we use to run the Service, for example our authentication provider (when you sign in with Google), our hosting and database provider, and our analytics provider. These providers act on our behalf under strict contractual terms.
5. Your choices
- Browser controls. You can block or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent Potio from working correctly.
- Do Not Track. We honour standard browser signals where applicable.
- Account deletion. Deleting your account also removes the server-side data linked to you, as described in our Privacy Policy.
6. Changes to this policy
If we materially change the cookies we use, we will update this page and, where appropriate, notify you inside the Service. The “Last updated” date above always reflects the current version.
